All In The Family

Peorian indicted on fraud charge A Peoria County grand jury indicted a Central Peoria woman for allegedly not reporting all her assets while collecting food stamps. Prosecutors allege (Angela) Morris collected food stamps from 1999 until earlier this year and failed to report all her income or her stock portfolio. It matters because how much a person can get from the state depends on their income and the amount of money they have saved. We gave her food stamps for 6 years, all the while she had a stock portfolio! What the Hell? Morris’ street address was in the news earlier this year after Courtney L. Morris, 33, of the same address, was charged in U.S. District Court for allegedly conspiring to bring large amounts of cocaine into central Illinois over a five-year period. And we also learn that her sister? cousin? is a drug trafficer facing 10 years to life. Oh what a fun family this is! Which reminded me of the family get together which was interrupted by gunfire, and while investigating, the police end up arresting a bunch of other family members of the ‘victim’ on outstanding arrest warrents. Mommy didn’t think it right that they should get arrested on unrelated charges after a shooting… Or how about the 8 year old kid I saw panhandling so he could buy a candybar… Where do you think they learn these things!!?
