Rain… sleet and snow are expected to develop around 9 PM this evening west of Interstate 55 and spread slowly east toward Bloomington around midnight. Most of the precipitation will change over to all snow around midnight. The snow may be heavy at times later tonight into Tuesday morning… with accumulations from 4 to 7 inches by Tuesday afternoon. The snow is expected to taper off Tuesday afternoon. Strong winds will cause considerable blowing and drifting snow later tonight and Tuesday morning… making travel hazardous.
