District 150 wants Parents Opinions?

Based on the fact that old schools WILL be vacated and new ones WILL be build, I’ve never been convinced that the site at Glen Oak was so bad.  What was horribly wrong was they way it was laid on everyone’s lap as a done deal before the public even knew about it.  THAT was shocking.

So I find it funny that after the lynch mob wanted to string up both the school board and park district, and state funding to build new schools has been halted, they now want to sit down with the parents and actually ask the opinion of the people that it will affect.  What a wonderful change of heart on the part of Ken Hinton.

My gut feeling.  The school will be built at Glen Oak.  Too much time and money has already been invested in this.  I suspect the plan is to back off and slow things down for a while, get public input, and slowly work the parents until they convince themselves that this is a great idea.  With the backing of the parents affected schools, plans can move forward, the remaining houses can be bought up, and a new school will be built.

I believe this change of heart by the School District is merely a political game and far from sincere.
