Now I can blog about and finally link to Peoria’s least debated, and in my mind, least debateable construction project going on, even though it does involve the Park District & Glen Oak Zoo. It’s the new Children’s Museum slated to open in 2008, called The Peoria Playhouse.
If you’ve been out of the loop, The Junior League (with the help of lots of experts) is designing and building a Children’s Museum at the current Peoria Park District’s offices, the beautiful Glen Oak Park Pavilion Building.
The “master plan” is downloadable, to be studied and scrutinized, along with lots of general information, stuff for kids, parents, and the general public.
