Dylan Plays The Monkees
I had the strangest dream last night. I tend to dream alot and I quite enjoy it, but this one was just downright odd.
I was in a “Dylan Plays The Monkees” musical competition. I spent hours going through the whole Monkees collection trying to pick out an appropriate song to sing at the competition. Nevermind that I only know about 4 or 5 cords, and that I have a debilitating case of stage-fright…
After extensive research, I decided not to play an obscure one for fear that I would lose points with the judges, but instead settled on “Take The Last Train to Clarksville”. The guitar was out of tune and I kind of fumbled through it, but I made up for it with a killer harmonica solo at the end (played on the rack around my neck, of course.)
Hopefully it was recorded and I can get a bootleg copy someday.
