I refuse to feel sorry for this guy. Journal Star:

A Peoria man said he was swindled out of money by a prostitute and a pimp early Thursday after he had been drinking at Downtown pubs for hours.

The 27-year-old victim told police he went for a walk about 1:30 a.m. and stumbled upon a prostitute at the corner of Monroe Street and Spalding Avenue.

The woman convinced the victim to follow her behind a house in the 400 block of Monroe where she then demanded he pay her $12, police reports said.

The victim, who later denied making a deal for a sex act in exchange for money, said because he was intoxicated he decided to just give the woman the money.

As he pulled out his wallet, a man wearing a white tank top emerged from the shadows behind the house.

“We’re real. Give it up,” the man said to the victim, reports said.

The man then slapped the wallet out of the victim’s hand, took an undisclosed amount of money from it, threw it back on the ground and ran with the woman into the darkness toward Spalding.

Ok, dumbass, first of all, don’t go walking around town at 1:30 in the morning looking for sex. You would’ve been better off waiting until closing time and seeing what’s left.

Second, you’re damn lucky that all they did was take the cash in your wallet, which you have no idea how much that was since you’d been boozing all night. You do realize that it’s not always safe to walk around dark city streets at 1:30am, don’t you? I guess some guys have to learn the hard way.

Third, why in the world did you report this to the police? Soliciting a Prostitute is illegal. You’d ought to go back to the police station and thank that nice policeman who didn’t arrest you, and then scurry on over to the Journal Star and thank them for not publishing your name.

Geesh!

On a related note, the Journal Star also reports:

Yanru Chen of Nina’s Place Asian Massage in Macomb was ordered to cease and desist from practicing as a massage therapist. Chen doesn’t own a massage therapy license.

I wonder if any of her patrons knew that she wasn’t an officially certified massage therapist? Hmm… Something tells me they didn’t care.
