You’re asking a lot to make a man change his beer!
A Peoria man was stabbed about 8:45 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Eaton Street. Ricky L. Ross [...] was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center after he was stabbed in the left shoulder.
Officers spoke with Rickey N. Williams [...] who allegedly said he stabbed Ross with a knife after an altercation. Williams told police Ross asked him to buy beer for him, and when Williams returned with the wrong kind, Ross threw a bottle at him.
The two began to fight and Williams allegedly stabbed Ross.

Update:
According to Phil Luciano’s follow-up article, Ricky Ross requested a King Cobra Malt Liquor 40 but was given a 24oz bottle of Miller High Life instead.
Ross threw the bottle of Miller High Life at Williams, who retaliated by stabbing the ungrateful Ross with a steak knife.

You crack me up.

Well dammit. How hard is it to buy the RIGHT kind of beer, the kind that he wanted? Totally justified action, in my opinion.

He probably bought Old Style instead of PBR. Inexcusable.

There are rumors that before the Peoria Height’s PBR brewery closed it’s doors, some workers added an extra ingredient.

What? They added beer?

I can certainly tell you (as can the complaining neighbor on Moss at 4 AM) that there IS some sort of alcohol in PBR. Whether it’s beer or not is certainly up for debate. Whatever it is, it tastes like shit when it turns to paste in your mouth the next morning.
