If they didn't put the music and the fans first I'm sure Wilco would have stopped playing the sub 2,000 seat venues a while ago. They seem to make a major effort to not cash in with basketball arena shows. Don't forget they've also streamed their albums for free which isn't exactly typical for well known established artists.
