Neglected Springdale Cemetery
Let me start off by saying that in no way do I mean to disparage the employees and volunteers who have worked countless hours trying to restore Springdale. I applaud their efforts. I know it had been neglected for many years and only until relatively recently have there been serious efforts to bring it back to it’s former grandeur. With that being said, I had no idea that I would find the disarray that I did. These are just a few photos to give you a feel; believe me, I could’ve taken a lot more. (click to enlarge)

I have not been through this cemetery in many months, perhaps over a year. I can guarantee you that the last time I visted was a vast improvement over the second to last time I visited, and that visit was itself an improvement. There are a LOT of things that need to be fixed.

i’VE A VERY SPECIAL INTEREST IN SPRINGDALE CEM AND CAUGHT ON TO THESE PHOTOS TOO LATE TO SEE THEM, APPARENTLY. OR, I’M SUCH A NEOPHYTE INTERNET USER I JUST DON’T KNOW WHAT i’M DOING. ANY WAY, IS THERE ANY WAY i COULD SEE THOSE PHOTOS?
i HAVE SOME CONSIDERABLE ACQUAINTANCESHIP WITH SPRINGDALE AND WOULD LIKE TO SHOW THE PEOPLE CONCERNED WHAT IS ON THE MIND OF AT LEAST ONE CITIZEN. MAYBE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT SOME OF THE SUBJECTS OF THE PHOTOS.

Al,
Thank you for your interest. My images on old blog entries have been lost, but I will be sure to email them to you.
