Drive on up to new Lennox and get on the Metra. Money well spent. $1 to park the car in New Lennox. $3.75 for a train ride into the city.* Two blocks of walking in the loop to the Red Line Subway station. Another $1.50 for the subway/L ride to the Addison street stop. Two more blocks of walking - one if you are sitting in the bleachers. Then take it all backwards, for another $1.50 and $3.75. Oh, yeah, if you have the time walking back to the Metra station, you can stop at this little Italian place under the L tracks and have a nice, casual dinner before you get on the train. Easy-peasy on the pocket (compared to a bare minimum $25 to park in Wrigleyville. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy on the old nervous system when it comes to the hassle of actually DRIVING in Chicago. *All prices are IIRC Dude, get real!
