For reasons unbeknownst to me, my daughter absolutely loves the Dollar Tree. After my wife agreed to take her there yesterday, I snidely remarked that they should have a large stock of Easter themed coloring books to choose from

They came home with the Amusing! Funny! Novel! Growing Pet Chicken Egg! (do not swallow)

Instructions:

1. Put the egg in a container and fill with water   till water level is at the top of the egg. (the temperature of the water is under 95F )
2. The egg shell will break after 12-24 hours slowly then the pet will come quickly out of the shell. (Please keep the container full of water.  )
3. After the egg shell is broken entirely please add the new water into the container again. (The pet will be expanding after 24-48 hours fully ).
4. Can move the growing pet to another container to watch them grow daily

My daughter read the instructions out loud on the way home and my wife commented to me that she was concerned about our daughter’s reading level possibly declining over the summer months… that is, until we read the instructions ourselves.
