Raoul,
The Sonic in EP is completed. It's at the end of Farmdale Rd, next to the Huck's and across the street from the Hagerty Industrial Supply showroom. It is always packed. So packed, in fact, that Hagerty is allowing the employees to park in their parking lot.

hey, good thing my neighborhood kept the liquor license for the grocery store out of the neighborhood so we could have a check cashing place move in there when it closed, and then another one right down the street, bringing our quarter-mile total to FOUR!

How far is that from the Liquor Store?

Is the sonic in E.P. up yet, I know that there was one going in over on that side of the river. I cannot imagine that a Sonic would go in anywhere near Bradley, sorry but the neighborhood is just a bit too rough to place a establishment where folks eat outside and are served in their cars. ( unless it were on campus like Baccis) Take a look at the typical crowd lounging around the shell station, or when you are in the drive through at the hot dog place just check out the guys hanging around near the liquor store. The area is not quite ready for prime time yet. There are quite a few issues that need to be dealt with on main before that type of business will be anything but a magnet for every unsavory character on the bluff.

I heard some time ago that Bradley was going to use the funds from the sale of the Maplewood houses to buy the gas station, tear it down and donate the land to the Western Ave greenway project.

That's what I heard, anyway.

Maybe they could tear down the old Walgreens at the corner of Bourland and Main to build the Sonic.

We live by the site of the future KFC. A few weeks ago my husband and I were driving by and I asked him to predict what it would be. He said KFC because of the building's structure. Only the frame was up. He is an architectural draftsman but I am not sure if this was pure luck or skill!
