Wanted: Kitchen Manager at Bar Louie
In light of recent accusations of poor service [link] [link] [link] at Bar Louie, and after a recent $150,000 kitchen fire, I found this job listing on CraigsList to be particularly humorous.
Bar Louie is now hiring a Kitchen Manager!
We are looking for an individual w/ the following experience:
1. At least 3 years of restaurant/bar kitchen management experience
2. Strong knowledge of BOH operations
3. Experience w/ ordering and inventory
4. Ability to lead and motivate a team
5. Excellent commmunication skills
6. Experience working all stations in a kitchenInterested applicants please send resumes to restaurantresumes@comcast.net with salary history
Apparently having “Excellent commmunication skills” doesn’t include knowing how to spell the word communication.

They also forgot “Inability to cook steak to customer order” and “Must have no moral quandries about overcharging for watered-down drinks.”

Hey! Hey! Hey! Cory, none of that talk. It is the BAR manager’s job to water down the the overpriced drinks, not the kitchen managers. Now excuse me while I weigh out those half pound burgers on the menu to 7 ounces.

So I ran into Matt Crusen (the new bar manager) and Travis (the regional manager) from Bar Louie last night. They have an open invite to the Blogger Bash on 30 October. Better get the dukes up, PI!

That was aweful nice of you to invite them, Cory. We’re meeting at Buffalo Wild Wings, right?

I WISH! No, it’s at Donnelly’s again. However, I will be having my own blogger bash at Buffalo Wild Wings tonight.
I didn’t invite them to cause trouble. I invited them because Travis said he’d like to hear any ideas Kevin might have about improving the restaurant. I’m sure he’d love to hear from everyone else as well.
