Bradley Fieldhouse Destructo-Cam

While I don’t have any deep emotional attachment to the Fieldhouse, it has been a fixture in Peoria for a long time, so it is a somewhat bittersweet to watch it come down. I walked over and snapped a few photos last night. (Grabbed a souvenir brick too)

For more photos, check out the blogs of Jonathan Ahl and Kirk Wessler who have also been keeping an eye on it, and don’t forget about the Bradley Fieldhouse WebCam where you can watch it live.

With all the gawkers hanging on the fence or standing on sidewalk watching, they should be charging a $1.99 a minute. After 15 minutes someone comes around and offers a smoke.

As much as I’ll miss the Fieldhouse, it’s probably for the better that they knocked it down. I can’t imagine the size of the title loan outfit that might have eventually occupied the space!

The best time I had at the Fieldhouse was when my daughter graduated from Bradley and the Peter, Paul and Mary concert in the 60’s!
