Peoria Park District: I’m Flattered
I’m flattered that you thought I took such a good picture of the beautiful Proctor Recreational Center, you decided to use it on your Park District Historical Places web page.
My Photo, NTPL #115:
Notice the similarities? With an annual operating budget of $40,000,000 I’m sort-of surprised they can’t take their own photos.

I smell a lawsuit. Photographs are automatically copyrighted when you put them up.

As a taxpayer, I strongly advise you to NOT sue.

I think you should call it a draw – given the fact that many bloggers steal photos all the time.

Fine, just send them a cease and desist order and make them take their own F’in picture. Lazy bastards.

Or… insist they credit you for the pic and link to your website !

I agree with Mahkno… I’d send them a note explaining that they are violating your copyright on the image and at least require they give you credit as the photographer if not whatever linkage you feel is appropriate. If it were for commercial / for-profit use, I’d also consider throwing $$ into the equation.

Hi folks,
I am looking for any old pics of Lakeview Pool, before it became the current waterpark setup. 1980’s would be great. I managed the pool for several years, and never took any pics.
If I find any pics, I would like to post on facebook with your permission. I have created a group called “Peoria Park District Pool Staff 1980’s”. There are currently 16 members.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
