The gauntlet has been thrown

Billy Dennis on what I thought was a rare artsy photo on my part for NTPL #243: “Next time, try posting a picture that’s a bit more of a challenge, PI.”

Deviating from my recently adopted once weekly photo, I put up 6 new ones which should be a bit more challenging, though none of them are so off the beaten path that someone won’t know what they are. As usual, the more interesting stories and tidbits the better.

[Name This Peoria Landmark]

When I am going to find time to update all of these is anyone’s guess.

I nailed one of ‘em right away. The others, I made educated guesses.

If you are referring to the USS Peoria plaque… Buzz.

  3. Billy Dennis Says:

WHAT! There IS such a plaque at Peoria City Hall. This must be another one.

  4. PeoriaIllinoisan Says:

You are making me curious as to what the plaque you are referring to is. I’ll be sure to check it out next time I’m down there. Wait, I was just down there! They had two monuments on the East side and the Sister Cities Clock and Sonar Tide on the West. If there is something else, I must have missed it.

  5. Billy Dennis Says:

    It’s inside, on a wall.

  6. PeoriaIllinoisan Says:

I guess I would have to go inside to see that then, wouldn’t I?

    PI,
Could Billy be pulling your leg? Is this a ploy to get you to go to City Hall? Maybe an elaborate plot to frame you for a the murder of a public official? Okay, I didn’t forget to take my meds today, I just watched Marky Mark in “Shooter” recently!

His original ploy was to get me to update my site. Now I think he’s trying to get me to attend city council meetings.
