Funny, it didn’t feel that warm. Must have been a dry heat.

Man, you midwesterners just have us beat on both sides of the board. It gets both colder AND hotter where you guys are than in the beautiful, environmentally consistent Southern state I currently live in. You have already had way colder and way hotter weather in 2008 than anything I’ve seen down here (especially colder). I was hoping that we would beat you on the hotter side since we are at a lower lattitude, but I guess you have the advantage there too since you are hundreds of miles away from any major bodies of water in a flat, empty cornfield. I’m, like, totally jealous of you guys.

At least we get more hurricaines. But then, you get more tornadoes. So I guess we’re tied on that one.

That has to be an equipment problem. There’s no way in hell (forgive the pun) it was 108 outside.

There goes the 3 degree gaurantee.

That temperature comes from a digital thermometer at the Peoria County Airport. Either someone put a hairdryer on it or it wasn’t working at the time. However, I will use this information to tease Ric. Thanks for pointing it out!

That was the temperature of Ric’s hair after his last highlighting appointment.

    Ouch!

Totally off subject, heard on Markley and Luciano today that the River Station will be closing on July 5th, one day after their 4th party, during which the city informed them they will not be able to sell beer outside at.

    Bummer.

  8. PeoriaIllinoisan Says:

I heard it too …and I’m not a happy camper.

[...] 4: Turns out PeoriaIllinoisan was discussing the closure earlier tonight. A commenter says it was discussed on Markley & Luciano this [...]

See, this is exactly why I don’t buy tickets to 4th of July galas at overpriced restaurants, especially when I’ll have to walk a mile from and to my car because of the massive throngs of people at the riverfront that evening.
