How Not To Get From Point A to Point B.

Point A. Far North Knoxville at Alta Rd.

Point B. Near the intersection of Pioneer Parkway & University.

Do not drive south on Knoxville towards Pioneer Parkway. There is major roadwork going on. When the traffic jam finally allows you to get close enough to realize you will not be able to turn right, stay close to the car in front of you or the flagger just might choose yours to stop to allow the lengthy Pioneer Park traffic to clear. When you eventually are allowed to go through the intersection, do not – I repeat – do not turn right on Teton as a shortcut to get back to University. They are dropping rock on the streets and relaying a lot of the sidewalks. While you might not be delayed by the resurfacing equipment, you just might get stuck waiting for the cement truck which will be blocking the street to empty its load.

It’s a good thing I chose the Alta Rd up to Allen route which took no more than 5 minutes instead of the 25 minutes it would have taken had I run into all that mess.

NO KIDDIN MAN… I just came from there… a major cluster f**k! I turned on to Detweiller and that was backed up for the same reason. Took me 45 minutes to get the kids home from school. Next time can you text me! ;)
