Tell me about it. ‘04 and ‘05 were very frustrating, but especially ‘05 because of that stupid wild card — the Cardinals had to play Houston… AGAIN… a team in their OWN division that they already beat over 162 games. What a total ripoff. The best record in baseball, and MLB has to give the NL Central also-ran a second chance. That’s why I have no problem with the Cardinals winning the World Series in ‘06 with their dismal regular-season record. Regular season records mean NOTHING anymore.
