So much for a cheap date.
Dinner at Avanti’s: $22.00
Movie tickets for three: $28.00
Three bottles of water & popcorn at the theatre: $20.00
Priceless? Hardly.

What movie did you see?

Actually it was my wife. She took my 11 and 15 year old daughters to see Twilight. Most of her review focused on the packed house that whooped and cheered throughout the whole movie. That, and she couldn’t believe it cost 20 bucks to buy water and a bucket of popcorn.

How on earth did you shell out $22.00 at Avanti’s? That’s where I go when I come home to visit my parents and only have a few bucks.;)

I have no sympathy for anyone who buys bottled water. Tap water is free.

Tap water is not an option at a movie theater, only extra sized and overpriced bottled water.

I hate that! Or they will charge you for a soda and give you a cup of ice that you can fill up at the water fountain. So you may as well buy the freakin’ bottle of water after all of that!

I am totally with Billy on this one! Wait an hour and a half and drink from the fountain on your way out or once you get home. Or fill a bottle at home and bring it with you.
