Talking Trash
In response to the hazardous roadways and alleys, Waste Management has suspended residential and commercial garbage collection today. Collection will resume Saturday for the routes scheduled today.
It is what it is, but I have to warn the trash guys that after two weeks of no pickup, I’ve got enough trash to fill a small dumpster and I haven’t even taken out my Christmas trash yet. This gives true meaning to the phrase “sucks to be you.”

Since we recycle, we have surprisingly little garbage (i.e., discarded food). Most of our waste goes into the recycling container.

I would consider recycling if it were a free (hidden in increased taxes) but otherwise not really, although I do recycle my newspapers and most of my aluminum cans. Newspapers are used as packing material where I work and aluminum cans are saved and given to a friend who cashes them in.
How do you recycle food? That’s a new one.
