Instead of constantly trying to police what is uploaded to YouTube, you should embrace it. Had it not been for my accidental stumbling across this video I would have never heard of or bought a Feist album.

Wow. This is totally impressive, sexy without being sleazy. It’s a lip synch that promotes the band, which can only benefit the record label.
I recall when I used to record music off the radio, mainly underground or college stations, on cassette tapes. I would then put the best songs from these tapes on a master compilation tape, and give the Best Of tapes to my friends and family members.
This practice resulted in new fans who would otherwise have probably never heard of most of these more obscure bands. Thus, a win win situation: tape recipients were exposed to new music they may have never known about, and new fans often bought LPs by new bands.
