Driving home in the dark really sucks.
…but in my feeble attempt to remain a ‘glass half full’ kind of guy, it does make for nice sunsets over Walmart.

You should take up astronomy. Then you won’t be able to contain your joy when you walk out of the job into darkness and look up and see the heavenly bodies move across the sky.
Of course, getting out of the city light dome is much, much better. Wait’ll you’ve seen your first -8 magnitude iridium flare… or when you see the ISS fly over.
Heavens-above.com is what I use to see what’s cooking that night. The first visit requires you to pick your location from list of cities or via your latitude/ longitude. After that, bookmark it and then have fun.
The Geminid meteor shower is coming up real soon, too.

Sorry for the double posting but according to stardate.org,
” The next meteor shower is the Leonids on November 17-18. The shower will peak in the predawn hours of November 17. The Moon will be just past new, so it won’t interfere with the shower. Experts predict that this will be a good year for the Leonids.”
