Handicapped Parking not so easy or convenient at the Lakeview Library.
The purpose of a handicapped parking spot is to make it as easy and convenient as possible for people with disabilities. So why then does the Lakeview branch of the Peoria Public Library designate two parking spots as handicapped in the furthest and most inconvenient place possible from the front door – in the back corner, along the side of the building?

There are two others that are closer, located where one would logically think they should be, and it is quite possible that only two are required by law based on the number of total parking spaces, but when I visited today they were both taken and I don’t see how these other two are doing anyone any favors.

Are those maybe for the theater next door? I can’t remember where the door is there. However, I think there is a whole row of parking closer to that theater now that I think about it…
